If I miss a payment, what happens?
The Goose Renter's Insurance policy is no longer available as new business. If your policy expires because we are not able to process your payment with the payment method provided, then your policy will expire on the due date. We will not be able to offer a new policy, unfortunately, as our underwriting partners have decided to suspend new business due to higher than expected loss ratios.
How is my draft date determined?
Your policy will be due on the date of the month that coincides with the policy's effective date. If the policy is effective on August 5th, the due date will be on the 5th of each month following. If your policy expires and you have to re-apply, the due date may change depending on which day you select as the new effective date.
So my insurance is canceled after my first unsuccessful payment attempt?
Yes, that is correct. Your payment secures your monthly renewal of coverage, without the payment applied, your policy simply expires on the last day of the monthly term.
I have decided I don't want the policy, will I get a refund?
The policies are non-refundable once they become effective. The only time you would be eligible for a refund is if you set your policy to start on a future date and change your mind before it becomes effective. Otherwise, the policy is non-refundable.
